V28T Lithium Ion batteries deliver up to 100% more performance than conventional 18 volt batteries, and up to 50% more running time. Yet, they weigh considerably less. V28T batteries operate at peak performance even under extreme weather conditions (from -20° through to +75° Celsius) and withstand battery heating due to heavy use.

It is also equipped with an overload protection feature and 'battery lock out' which prevents the tool from starting unintentionally if the switch is set on "ON" and a battery is being inserted or changed.
